"I think you know a lot more than you realize," Lily answered with a smile, her teeth pressing into her lower lip briefly as she walked backwards around the coffee table and toward the hall. That smile made her heart beat faster and she could remember all too clearly the last time a man had gotten under her skin like this, but she didn't regret it then and she wouldn't regret this. She didn't want to turn and have to stop looking at him, not even for a moment, and when she reached the bedroom, she was glad to discover she'd left the curtains open and sunlight was streaming into the room.
